Did you know that dogs need nail trims on average every 4 weeks?

That's once a month!

When you let the nails grow out the quick grows out along with it, making it to where you can't take much off the nails ... don't let this happen to your furry best friend.  When the toenail grows out, so does the quick! When this happens it will take several nail trims for the quick to shorten. The more nail trims the shorter the quick, therefore the shorter toe nail.

There are many risks with infrequent nail trims.
Here are some of the more important ones.

1. If Nails grow out too long they can cause your dog to have arthritis and change the way the tendons in the feet are.

2. Longer nails are at risk of breaking or getting stuck on something like a blanket or the carpet, causing them to rip, and may cause nail/claw to be painfully yanked out. That can lead to bleeding and infection. Along with added sensitivity.

3. Frequent nail trims help reduce the likelihood of an ingrown toenail or possible infection in the nail.

4. Regular nail trims also help your dog have better posture, helping them walk more comfortably and have less stress on their joints.

5. Along with the added human benefit of keeping your furniture and floors in better shape, nail trimming is so very important for your dogs!

I generally recommend every 4 weeks for most dogs. It does vary from dog to dog. The average is once a month.

Did you know just like humans dogs need their teeth brushed too?
Regular brushing is important for your dog, just like it is for us humans.

In order to maintain optimal oral health, aim to brush your dog’s teeth daily, or at least a few times a week with a tooth paste for dogs.
Brushing their teeth regularly can help prevent plaque buildup that leads to tartar and even worse periodontal disease in dogs.
Can you imagine going all your life or weeks on end without brushing your teeth?? If you answered no then why allow your dog to go through that?
The good news is I can help you with that!

I offer in-home grooming services, perfect for all!

Bonus
All dental services come with a Whimzee dental treat. *Pet parent permission required*
You also get to keep the tooth brush I use and I will happily teach you how to properly brush your furry best friends teeth!

It's recommended to brush their teeth daily just like us, but at the very least a few times per week.

Most dogs don't even get that....don't let your pet fall into the category of never having their teeth brushed!

Schedule your dog's next teeth brushing with me!
