Caine and Carter's mom here: Imagine the surprise I felt when I found out I was having twins at 20 weeks. I thought I was going to find out the sex of the baby when the ultrasound tech happily announced it was not 1 but 2 boys!!! I was shocked to say the least. My due date was set for April Fools Day but I was warned of the possibility of early delivery. I began to have braxton hicks throughout the end of my 2nd trimester so I had no idea I was in active labor the very last minute!! I was rushed to the hospital via ambulance. After a successful natural delivery, I was quite confused as to why all these people were interested in taking a peek at my newborn twins until a nurse came in to congratulate me on my Leap Year Twins!!! With everything that was going on, I hadn't taken time to think about their birth date...haha imagine that!
